Coppicing Acacia Reficiens
Acacia Reficiens is a very common tree on Lekurruki Conservancy. It can cover large areas and although beneficial for the browsers of the area, the thick, closed canopy stops any ground cover from growing. This leaves these areas prone to erosion.
Branches are copied off the tree and laid on the ground to slow the water, trap the grass seed and to protect the establishing grass.
